Just after 6:37 PM, The Mineral Volunteer's were alerted to BOX# 213 for a motor vehicle accident with unknown injury. While enroute, units were advised of a chemical truck leaking fluids and the incident was upgraded. SQUAD-2 arrived on scene to find a tractor trailer on its side fully loaded with wheat flour with no injuries. This incident resulted in extended road closure of Jefferson Highway while the recovery company operated flawlessly on the complex incident. While clearing the run, companies were alerted to BOX# 219 for report of a Brush Fire threatening an exposure, SQUAD-2 arrived to find a small fire in the ditch and extinguished. MVFD operated with 5 volunteers on these incidents.
