Just after 8:34 PM, units were dispatched to BOX#213 for a report of smoke in the house and a fire in the kitchen. Crews arrived on the scene to find a two-story, single-family detached home with nothing evident from sides (A) and (D). The members from SQUAD-2 stretched a 200' crosslay to the rear to find smoke in the home with food on the stove. Units operated for approximately 45 minutes to ventilate and perform atmospheric monitoring. MVFD operated with 8 volunteers with assistance from LCFEMS and LCVFD.
