Yesterday, that pride was on full display as M.V.F.D. debuted our brand new Engine-2โa rig designed with patience, discipline, and intention. Every detail was built to support aggressive, efficient firefighting and to protect the citizens of Mineral and Louisa County.
A proud tradition in the fire service is friendly competition between companies, and our members brought their best to the Colonial Beach Firemanโs Parade. After countless hours preparing the rig, shining tools, inspecting gear, and squaring away uniforms, our crew was judged across several categories: ๐ Vehicle โ cleanliness and function ๐งโ๐ Personnel โ appearance, PPE, and uniforms ๐ ๏ธ Equipment โ quality, maintenance, and layout ๐ Knowledge โ firefighting know-how
Weโre proud to share that M.V.F.D. was awarded: ๐ First Place โ Best Appearing Engine Company ๐ The Charles Catlett Award โ Best Appearing Pierce
Weโre grateful for the continued fellowship with the Colonial Beach Firemanโs Department, a bond built over decades.
These awards are just a small reflection of the high standards, pride, and service that the citizens of Mineral and Louisa County can expect from their volunteers.
