Early Morning Structure Fire
MINERAL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, January 07
At approximately 3:30 this morning units were alerted to a reported residential fire in the Mineral District. Battalion-104 marked on scene of a well involved shed that had extended to a mobile home adjacent to it and declared a working fire. BOX ALARM
Mineral Volunteer Fire Department, January 01
Just after 3:45PM Units were alerted to BOX# 216 for report of a vehicle fire and was quickly updated to a structure fire.
SQUAD-2 Arrived on scene to find a two-story lightweight construction garage with fire showing from side (A) with one vehicle off inside. MVC-Overturned
Mineral Volunteer Fire Department, September 06
Just after 6:37 PM, The Mineral Volunteer's were alerted to BOX# 213 for a motor vehicle accident with unknown injury. While enroute, units were advised of a chemical truck leaking fluids and the incident was upgraded. SQUAD-2 arrived on scene to find a tractor trailer on its side fully loaded with wheat flour with no injuries. This incident resulted in extended road closure of Jefferson Highway while ... Firefighter Mia Ethridge
Mineral Volunteer Fire Department , September 01
Today, we remember the life and service of Firefighter Mia Ethridge. On September 1st, 2023 Firefighter Ethridge died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident while responding to a working structure fire.
Firefighter Ethridge was a full time Firefighter/EMT with Louisa County Fire and EMS and a active volunteer with the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department.

Multiple Incidents
Mineral Volunteer Fire Department, August 11
The Mineral Volunteer Fire Department had a busy weekend with numerous incidents and multiple training events.
- Rescue incident involving a disoriented citizen in the woods. Mineral Volunteers extricated a patient from the remote area via Stokes basket after being located by the Louisa County Sheriff's Office and was turned over to EMS for minor injury evaluation. Units: CHIEF-2, SQUAD-2, SUPPORT-2.

Box Alarm
Mineral Volunteer Fire Department, July 30
Just after 8:34 PM, units were dispatched to BOX#213 for a report of smoke in the house and a fire in the kitchen. Crews arrived on the scene to find a two-story, single-family detached home with nothing evident from sides (A) and (D). The members from SQUAD-2 stretched a 200' crosslay to the rear to find smoke in the home with food on the stove. Units operated for approximately 45 minutes to ventilate ... (Full Story & Photos)
